Helix Construct has won a sought-after place on the NHS Building Framework for projects worth up to £4 million.
Newbury-based Helix has been appointed to help build and maintain NHS and other public sector buildings across London, the South East and South West.
NHS maintenance work will include construction, electrical installation, fire protection, painting and decorating, asbestos removal, drainage, ventilation and water system servicing.
The procurement framework has been drawn up to create a list of preferred contractors who can help deliver improved quality, performance and efficiency for public sector organisations.

Helix Construct is a building company founded on excellent customer service and the highest quality standards. It is part of Helix Group, an SME builder and consultancy founded in 2017 by a group of friends with decades of large contractor experience.
Carl Mulkern, Managing Director of Helix Construct, said: “We are proud to have won a place on the NHS maintenance framework, which will enable us to play our part in ensuring our hospitals and other health care facilities are fit for the future.
“It also marks another step forward in our progress as a growing local SME builder, as we are increasingly selected as a contractor of choice for a variety of construction projects.”
Carl added: “At Helix, we are firmly focused on delivering the highest quality standards from start to finish and providing great customer service every time. This approach has seen our company go from strength to strength.”
The latest appointment follows a string of successes for Helix Group, which was recently named a preferred building partner for the Connected Partnership of three West London housing associations – Octavia Housing, Origin Housing and Shepherds Bush Housing Group. It is also in pre-construction for nine affordable apartments in Addlestone for Runnymede Borough Council, with the project due on site in November.
Helix has previously won places on frameworks with various other large housing associations, including Notting Hill Genesis and Places for People.
