Introduction
This statement is made by Helix Parent Holdings Limited and has been approved by the Board in accordance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It relates to actions and activities during the financial year 1st July 2026 to 30th June 2027.
This statement sets out Helix Parent Holdings Limited commitment to preventing slavery and human trafficking in our business activities and the steps we have put in place with the aim of ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our own business or supply chains. We all have a duty to be alert to risks, however small. All our employees, visitors, clients and workers are expected to report their concerns, and our board of directors will act upon them.
Organisational Structure and Supply Chains
This statement covers the business activities of Helix Parent Holdings Limited who provides principal contracting services, project management and site-based construction delivery.
Helix Parent Holdings Limited operates solely within the United Kingdom with a direct workforce and an extended supply chain comprising subcontractors, agency labour providers, materials suppliers, plant hire companies, and professional consultants. We comply with all relevant employment legislation and expect our suppliers and sub-contractors to do the same.
The process by which Helix Parent Holdings Limited assesses whether particular activities or projects are high risk in relation to modern slavery or human trafficking includes –
- Pre-qualification questionnaires for all suppliers and subcontractors through Alcumus SafeContractor or Constructionline.
- Regular review of industry guidance on high-risk trades and sectors within UK construction
- Monitoring labour agency practices through audit and direct engagement.
High Risk Activities
Within the construction sector, the following activities are considered to be at higher risk of modern slavery or human trafficking –
- Use of agency labour, particularly in trades such as demolition, cleaning and general labouring.
- Supply of construction materials such as bricks, stone and timber where parts of the supply chain may originate from higher-risk countries with less stringent labour protections.
- Sub-contractor labour provision, especially in multi-tiered subcontractor arrangements where visibility is limited.
These risks arise due to the complex nature of supply chains, reliance on subcontractors and potential lack of direct oversight of agency recruitment practices.

We provide additional ad-hoc training, briefings and communications to employees at regular intervals and through a variety of methods to ensure awareness of modern slavery and human trafficking risks remains high across the organisation.
We also share toolbox talks with our site teams and subcontractors to raise awareness of modern slavery and human trafficking, helping people recognise the signs, understand how to report concerns and play their part in preventing exploitation. Posters and awareness campaigns on site support this further.

Our following policies and procedures supporting this include –
- Whistleblowing Policy – encourages all workers and subcontractors to report any concerns related to direct activities or supply chains.
- Employee Handbook – sets out the standards of behaviour expected of employees and contractors representing Helix Parent Holdings Limited.
