Key features
- The fourteen dwellings across three sites posed several logistical challenges in the way of traffic management. A rigid delivery system was essential with limited space.
- We forged a strong working relationship with West Kent HA and the Employer’s Agent, Baily Garner. We have been commended for our approach to stakeholder management, and the quality of the construction.
- Sustainable energy features include air source heat pumps to all dwellings, and photovoltaic roof panels to generate electricity. The insulation to roofs, walls and floors is in excess of Building Regulation minimum standards.
- Following an assessment by the Occupational Therapist, we received a variation order to extend an end of terrace house to adapt it to a bespoke wheelchair user dwelling. As well as the usual adapted kitchen with adjustable worktops and specialist white goods, we installed a wheelchair lift in the new extension to permit access to the first floor.
